Our Team

John Osmond

Position: Managing Director

John Osmond has overseen Network Piano Carriers operations for more than 18 years. He personally relocated pianos for 15 years before moving on to an administration role. This role gives him a vast perspective and understanding of what can be achieved, and an insight into relocation difficulties.

John's previous career in the construction and oil industry involved coordinating crane rigging and scaffolding. That extensive knowledge and experience is now very valuable in allowing John to modify and implement piano relocation methods into sites and venues with unusual and difficult access.

John strives to make NPC a success by undertaking specific management courses, reading broadly and continually questioning how the business can improve. He has an inbuilt need to have things done 100% and this attitude flows on to the level of customer service that NPC provides our clients.

What is involved in your job at NPC?
As the most experienced team member, I am the main reference point for difficult relocations involving cranes, forklifts and manufacturing specialised equipment. I also develop safe and modern manual handling procedures that fulfill our OHS obligations. Liaising with importers, retailers and corporate clients is also part of my role at NPC.

What do you like best about working at NPC?
I enjoy being involved in a company with a lot of great potential for growth and advancement, and working with a fantastic team of people. I also enjoy receiving confirmation from clients that are amazed at the level of service they have received from NPC.

John enjoys being a work-orientated person who is dedicated to the advancement of the business and he also loves building, welding and construction. When the opportunity arises John goes hunting and diving for shipwrecks. As well as shopping with his daughters, he enjoys gardening with his partner as he finds this to be good for the soul and relaxing for the mind.

Deb Coridas

Position: General Manager

Deb Coridas has coordinated all the business elements of Network Piano Carriers since it was established in 1989. Deb has a Bachelor of Business from Monash University and previously worked as an auditor in a government department.

The skills that Deb acquired through her studies and previous experience in business allow her to efficiently run NPC with the best systems and strategies and maintain best practices. Her strong leadership and innovative ideas direct the NPC team in safely and professionally moving our customers' pianos Australia wide.

What is involved in your job at NPC?
My role is to ensure that all crew members are constantly operating to meet our company values and customer service standards. As our company grows, I have to spend a lot of my time complying with government legislation and rules. Unfortunately, this takes me away from what I am passionate about - bringing music into lounge rooms and venues for Melbourne's musicians.

What do you like best about working for NPC?
The daily challenges, finding workable solutions, learning, personal growth and people. A lot of the crew at NPC do not have a musical background, let alone play a piano, but from time to time we have great delight meeting and listening to some of Melbourne's finest musicians. Every day I talk to the most amazing and interesting people and it has been a privilege to assist them with their relocation needs.

Away from her desk Deb enjoys working in her garden, being a mother and mentor to her three fantastic daughters, and visiting Melbourne galleries. Time and weather permitting, Deb can also be spotted walking along Melbourne bayside beaches with her two Maltese dogs.

Paul McDonald

Position: National Training Director and Senior Piano Relocation Consultant and Driver

Paul has worked with Network Piano Carriers team for more than six years; four of those years as a senior road crew trainer. With over 9 years experience as a removalist specialising in pianos and other heavy-lifting objects, Paul's ability to focus and plan ahead, combined with his great work ethic, ensures that the NPC road crew are trained to relocate pianos in the safest possible way.

What is involved in your job at NPC?
As a senior road crew trainer I am responsible for setting procedures that the road crew must follow to ensure safe relocations and to minimise the risk of injuries. I also organise regular road crew meetings to maintain morale, work quality and revise company procedures. In my Senior Relocation Consultant and Driver role I aim to ensure that every piano is safely delivered and our customers are provided with extensive information about moving procedures and other company services.

What do you like best about working at NPC?
I enjoy the fact that every day presents completely different challenges at completely different locations. The piano relocation process can be more challenging mentally than physically, and I enjoy the camaraderie of working with a great team.

When not involved in organising company activities, Paul enjoys playing the guitar. He previously played professionally for 13 years in rock and roll bands in Western Australia. Paul toured mines and railway camps, which ultimately lead him to having a song on Triple M and a video clip on Rage. Paul also enjoys afternoon BBQs, restaurants, X Box and having relaxing time to himself.
